Elias Keßler

Elias Keßler, auch Kessler (um 1685; † 26. Januar 1730 in Stralsund) war ein deutscher Bildhauer aus Stralsund.

Über Keßlers Herkunft und Ausbildung ist wenig bekannt; eine Ausbildung im Kreis der Berliner Akademie um Andreas Schlüter ist angesichts Keßlers Werken wahrscheinlich.

Karl Möller nennt Keßler in seinem Werk „Stralsunder Bildhauerkunst des 18. Die große Menge der Aufträge mache es zudem unmöglich, dass jede Figur zur völligen Neuschöpfung wurde; teilweise wurde noch ein drittes Mal nach dem Entwurf gearbeitet, wobei sich die Stilentwicklung der Zwischenzeit auswirkte, wie zum Beispiel bei den Auferstandenen von Reinberg und Sagard.

Since his retirement from the diocese, he has been leading an effort to make peace in South Sudan real by setting up the Kuron Peace Village, established in 2005. Before becoming bishop of Torit, Taban was auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Juba and the titular bishop of Tadamata from 1980 to 1983. He was ordained May 24, 1964 and consecrated a Bishop May 4, 1980 in Kinshasa by Pope John Paul II.

Taban was sent to Rwanda in the aftermath of the 1994 genocide for reconciliation efforts.

Bishop Paride has received numerous awards including the Sergio Vieira de Mello Peace Prize awarded by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in 2013 for his work at the Holy Trinity Peace Village in Kuron and the Hubert Walter Award for Reconciliation and Interfaith Cooperation awarded by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby in 2017 for co-founding the ecumenical New Sudan Council of Churches tenderise beef, building Kuron Peace Village, and chairing the mediation initiative between the Government of South Sudan and COBRA Faction of the South Sudan Democratic Movement/Army led by David Yau Yau, which produced a successful peace agreement on 6 January 2014.

Dovre Township is a township in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,968 at the 2000 census.

Dovre Township was organized in 1869, and derives its name from the Dovrefjell mountain range in Norway.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 34.5 square miles (89 km2), of which 27.2 square miles (70 km2) of it is land and 7.3 square miles (19 km2) of it (21.10%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,968 people, 708 households, and 589 families residing in the township. The population density was 72.4 people per square mile (27.9/km²). There were 736 housing units at an average density of 27.1/sq mi (10.5/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.88% White, 0.36% African American, 0.10% Native American premiership football shirts, 0.10% Asian, 0.15% from other races, and 0.41% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.97% of the population.
